Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

TranscriptSnap is operated by Novrik Digital LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to the files you transcribe, what data is collected when you visit the site, which cookies are set and by whom, and what choices you have. Questions about it can be sent to hello@transcriptsnap.com or through our contact page.

Your files

Your file never leaves your browser. It is read locally and processed by a speech model running on your own device. We do not receive it, we cannot see it, and there is no upload for us to store. The same applies to the transcript: it is produced on your device and stays there unless you export or copy it yourself.

This is a property of how the tool is built rather than a promise we ask you to take on trust. You can confirm it by loading the page once, disconnecting from the network, and transcribing again.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords. We do not collect payment details, precise location, contacts, or anything from your microphone or camera. We do not ask the browser for your location, and nothing on the site reads the content of the files you choose.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which tools get used. It never receives your file or your transcript — it sees pages, not content. We do not sell personal data, and Google Analytics is not used for advertising on this site: its advertising signals stay switched off everywhere, regardless of what you choose.

How analytics starts depends on where you are:

Google Analytics typically records the page you viewed, the referring page, an approximate location derived from your IP address (country and city level), your device and browser type, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. Google describes how it handles this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Advertising

We intend to fund the site with advertising served by Google AdSense. At the time of writing, no ads are shown. When advertising is enabled, the following applies:

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history. Google explains its advertising practices in more detail at How Google uses cookies in advertising.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before any advertising cookies are set, and can change that choice at any time. Ads never receive your files or transcripts, and we do not pass email addresses or other directly identifying information to ad networks.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Where analytics storage is active, Google Analytics sets its own — _ga and one named after our measurement ID — to tell repeat visits from new ones. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it sets nothing until you accept. Once advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may set their own cookies as described in the section above.

If you are shown the banner, your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under ts_consent so you are not asked again. That value never leaves your device, and clearing your site data removes it. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the transcription tool works the same either way.

Hosting and other services

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the IP address and request details of every visit in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; we do not use those logs to identify individual visitors. The speech model is downloaded from our own domain the first time you use the tool and cached by your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers.

Children

TranscriptSnap is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and the service providers named above may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred, those providers rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because there are no accounts, no uploads and no stored transcripts, there is normally nothing for us to delete; analytics data is held by Google and can be cleared by deleting your cookies. If you have a question about data we might hold, write to hello@transcriptsnap.com.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes — for example when advertising is switched on — we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
