Who we are
TranscriptSnap is operated by Novrik Digital LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. In these terms, "we" and "us" refer to Novrik Digital LLC.
Using the service
By using TranscriptSnap you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. TranscriptSnap is provided free of charge, as is, without warranty of any kind. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee either. Transcription runs on your own device, so the quality of the result also depends on your hardware and on the recording you give it.
You do not need an account. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or be using the service with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Content you submit
You are responsible for having the right to transcribe the content you process. Do not use this service on material you are not permitted to use, and respect the terms of the platform a recording came from. If a recording includes other people, you are responsible for complying with any consent or recording laws that apply to it.
Your files are processed on your own device and are never sent to us, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no rights over your recordings or the transcripts you produce from them. They remain yours.
Accuracy of transcripts
Transcripts are generated automatically by a speech-recognition model and can contain errors, omissions, and occasionally words that were never spoken. They are not a substitute for a professional or certified transcription. Do not rely on a transcript for legal, medical, financial or other consequential purposes without checking it against the original recording.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service's infrastructure, scrape it in bulk, or use it to produce unlawful material. Do not use it to transcribe content in order to harass, defame or invade the privacy of others. We may restrict access if we detect abuse.
Intellectual property
The TranscriptSnap name, logo, site design and the guides published on this site belong to Novrik Digital LLC. You may quote short passages from the guides with a link back to the source. The speech model is OpenAI's Whisper, used under its open-source licence, and the other open-source components we use remain under their own licences.
Third-party services and advertising
The site relies on third-party services, including hosting, analytics and, once enabled, advertising provided by Google. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Ads, where shown, are provided by third parties; we do not endorse the products advertised, and your dealings with an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser. The site may also link to other websites that we do not control and are not responsible for.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Novrik Digital LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including reliance on any transcript. The service is provided free of charge and we do not offer compensation, refunds or damages of any kind for any loss arising from its use. If any part of this section is found unenforceable where you live, the rest of it continues to apply.
Availability and termination
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Because there are no accounts, you can stop using it at any time simply by closing the page; nothing needs to be cancelled.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer-protection law in the country where you live.
Changes
Features and these terms may change over time. When they do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
